IMVU inc uses this to track computers that make payments with credit cards: Bluecava

Does anyone know how to beat it or hide from it?

I already tried blocking it in my host file...and the bluecava site still loads.

It is some sort of device blueprinting script that makes an image of your computer specs...

There are rumors that IMVU inc is going to place it on their entire website to keep track of hackers with 200 hundred other businesses.

I am still looking but for obvious reasons, I can't find any technical information on exactly how it works. I would sure like to know what the unique identification every device has is.

I don't like being tracked when I use my computer, I do a lot of things that are illegal only because they are not liked by religious societies or people who make the laws but are actually not "wrong" at all.

To my knowledge; they copy your computer specs, mac address, ip, clock time, flash version, check for installed programs, browsers, drivers...and collect bits of information on your hardware..., along with operating system information, OS user names, common websites visited, saved account information, the computer's name / purpose which you enter into the OS during installation, network settings, ZIP / exact location (if they can detect and hardware on your computer / device containing GPS)...

From all of this information, they tie devices together on how likely that they are the same device...and if the percentage is high...then they are classified as the same device.

I hear it works through javascript and flash cookies, but does not touch normal cookies at all...so blocking cookies does not do shit to stop it.

You can opt out of being tracked on the BlueCava site, but that requires letting them scan you...and then they tell you that they will continue tracking you..., but that they will not sell your information for advertising purposes...but will still report you if they "see your device doing something bad"...

The only ways that have been found to stop them so far...are to turn off flash cookies and disable javascript...

I wish we knew the exact name of the scripts.
Maybe we could do something to block them?

My script blocker blocks all scripts and allows me to choose which ones I want to allow. But yeah, knowing their names would help a lot.

I'll give this a try I've looked almost everywhere ... ugh I'm wanting nothing but a clean Version to IMVU, Ohh I'm just a user c'mon really? geez I just wish to play my game I've loved since childhood whatever it is this BlueCava besides the BIGGEST offence or invasion of Privacy so far I've seen and not to mention unnecessary is its really nasty I've been trying a few methods always its finding its way to make my IMVU experience end if it doesn't work thanks for trying to fix what made this game should themselves ... this things really effing me off, as it's consumed about 5 of my devices as is as it's something most of my IT aware BFs here don't know much about nor as I do either basically qualifying in the same IT degrees and etc. I do hope using LITE works that things really annoying cant they track us without disturbing our gameplay ugh if it must commence? it actually ruins the sync between the Mobile-APP to the pc and back again thank you for helping that's what's the main thing if I see my happy little buddy back again lol
